Also very popular, the Sunset summer Concerts in Kirstenbosch are usually held on Sundays late afternoon. The music is usually "light Classical" and provides usually a refreshing atmosphere after a day at the beaches.
Kirstenboch botanical garden
The Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden is located on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain.
Founded in 1913 by the botanist Henry Pearson, it is a remarkable biotope for a large variety of the plants of Southern Africa. We can find there more than 6000 species of plant in an area of 530 ha.
One of the best time to visit is during the early spring months of August and September, when the flowers are blooming, like the indigenous Fynbos vegetation, but it is worth a visit any time of the year.
